El Ecoturismo como impulsor de los emprendimientos para el desarrollo local

Introducción: El ecoturismo, como alternativa al turismo convencional, reduce el impacto ambiental y genera beneficios económicos y sociales para las comunidades locales. Este estudio analiza la gestión económica, social y ambiental de 100 emprendedores de ecoturismo en Santa Elena, Ecuador, y su contribución a la sostenibilidad. Metodología: Se realizó un análisis a emprendedores de ecoturismo para examinar factores como gestión, calidad del servicio e innovación, los cuales son clave para la supervivencia de estos negocios. Resultados: Se destacó que, aunque los emprendedores implementan estrategias sostenibles, enfrentan retos como la falta de políticas públicas y la necesidad de mayor participación comunitaria. La gestión integral se mostró como un motor clave para el desarrollo local. Conclusiones: El estudio recomienda ampliar la investigación, considerando variables contextuales y sociales, y destaca la necesidad de programas de capacitación y asistencia técnica para consolidar el ecoturismo como actividad económica sostenible, impulsando el desarrollo comunitario.
