Validación de la Escala Multidimensional de Apoyo Social Percibido (MSPSS) en mujeres embarazadas del Perú

Introducción: La MSPSS, es una herramienta validada de manera continua en diversas poblaciones; no obstante, los estudios sobre sus propiedades métricas en mujeres embarazadas son limitados. El objetivo del estudio fue validar la Escala Multidimensional de Apoyo Social Percibido en mujeres embarazadas del Perú. Metodología: Investigación instrumental en 298 participantes. La MSPSS fue traducida y sometida a validación de contenido, evaluación de sus propiedades métricas y confiabilidad. Resultados: Se confirmó una versión de 12 ítems distribuidos en tres factores, explicando el 76,15 % de la varianza. Los índices de ajuste del modelo [χ²/gl = 1,00; RMSEA = 0,003] y la consistencia interna fueron excelentes; asimismo, la validez discriminativa, correlación y tautológica. La validez convergente mostró una relación significativa entre el apoyo social percibido y la autoeficacia para el parto vaginal. Discusión: La MSPSS exhibe una estructura trifactorial robusta con altas cargas factoriales y confiabilidad para valorar el apoyo social percibido. Conclusiones: La versión peruana de la MSPSS es válida y confiable para su uso en mujeres embarazadas. Se sugiere utilizarla en investigación y estudios de validación.
