Abstract

Introduction: The increase in practice of nautical sports is a reality. It is the responsibility of sports managers to establish prevention tools; normative ignorance, incomplete information and the lack of skills are factors that are analyzed in this article. Methodology:The purpose of this study is to propose, through new communication technologies, applications to determine the degree of regulatory knowledge in nautical activities such as Windsurf, Kite and Wing, that allow evaluating the level of exposure to risk. Results:An exhaustive review of the regulations has been carried out to facilitate the design of the CheckWindSurf instrument. For its validation, statistical and evaluation techniques have been used with expert advisors. Discussions:Through a study carried out in 20 nautical sports clubs and schools, it is confirmed that the management tools, currently implemented, are insufficient to avoid accidents at sea, that there are non-compliances which can be solved through prevention and with better training. of managers and sportspersons. Conclusions:The importance of facilitating the evaluation of the degree of compliance with regulations and knowledge level of managers is confirmed, in order to establish a direct communication channel between institutions, clubs and sports schools.
