Competitiveness in the integrated transport system and corporate social responsibility

Abstract:
Introduction: The research focuses on the importance of corporate social responsibility that allows for competitive advantages in today's market, focused on the transport companies that generate wealth for a society. Methodology: The research has a correlational scope, being a non-experimental cross-sectional research; studies were made based on Likert-type surveys of corporate social responsibility with three dimensions which are social dimension, economic dimension and environmental dimension, and the variable competitiveness; the unit of study was the integrated transport system in the city of Arequipa, Peru. Results: A significant positive relationship was established between corporate social responsibility and competitiveness in the integrated transport system, reaching high levels of correlation, which shows that there is a very significant high correlation. Discussion: Currently organizations tend to maintain the triad company, society, government with levels of competitiveness in the transportation sector. Conclusions: Globalization requires that organizations are in line with the needs of a society that seeks to have a better quality of life and that depends greatly on the contribution of these groups that helps organizations to be more competitive.
