Abstract

Introduction: This article examines the effects of Aim Training on bow technique in violinists. The study included 10 violinists aged 19 to 45 (M= 26; DE= 8.74), of which one was a female (10%). Methodology: The selection was made in a non-probabilistic way among the students of a Higher Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands. The groups were formed according to experience in FPS video games and instrumental skills. The sessions included arc exercises and target training. Results: Improvements in concentration and responsiveness were observed, but Aim Training showed limitations compared to instrumental practice. Discussions: Although statistical analysis revealed significant differences between variables and the study suggests benefits of Aim Training on bow technique, limitations are recognized Conclusions: In short, the importance of integrating digital tools with traditional practice in music education is highlighted.
