Introduction: The objective of the study is to explore how advances driven by artificial intelligence are shaping the future of visual communication and understand how it is impacting the generation of visual content. Methodology: The methodology consists of a multidisciplinary approach that combines the review on the topic in the field of AI-driven visual communication by using qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques to examine the impact of AI on the generation, editing and consumption of visual content. Results: More than 50% of participants supported the idea that AI contributes to improving the quality of images and videos, allowing better visual communication. Discussion: AI is part of the advancement of visual communication, given its ability to improve efficiency and automate creative processes; however, it also produces concerns, such as the lack of originality in the design, the risk of homogenization. Conclusions: Among the benefits of using AI, the following stand out: the restoration of old audiovisual content, the promotion of creativity and time savings, and from this arises the need to learn about AI management.
