Abstract

Introduction: Masegoso Bridge is located within the railway line that connects  Riotinto mines with the port of Huelva, between the stations of Las Cañas and Los Frailes, in the Municipal District of Berrocal. It is a masonry bridge made entirely of stone, masonry and ashlar. The object is to describe the intervention proposal planned for its conservation and activation based on the heritage study carried out. Methodology: The methodology is based on a search of bibliographic and historical data, as well as carrying out tests of the different materials that make up the bridge, along with a three-dimensional survey of it. Results: A study of the existing injuries is carried out to propose the necessary interventions for their conservation and putting it back into service for society. Discussions: The recovery of the bridge allows its return to use for the recognition of the cultural landscape through a natural greenway. Conclusions: The rehabilitation of the bridge is proposed under previously established criteria, the main one being minimal intervention, in order to put the structure into use, activate it as a greenway and maintain its railway essence.
