Introduction: This study analyzes the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies in teacher education, assessing their impact on the academic performance and motivation of prospective teachers. Methodology: A mixed approach was used including literature review, case study selection, surveys, semi-structured interviews, classroom observations and document analysis. Data were analyzed using statistical and content analysis techniques. Results: The results showed a significant improvement in academic performance and motivation, thanks to the personalized feedback provided by AI and the immersive experiences offered by AR/VR. Technological and ethical challenges were identified, such as the need for adequate infrastructure and data privacy. Discussion: Although personalization of learning was a key aspect, ethical and technological concerns require urgent attention. Investment in infrastructure and ethical policies is critical to overcome these challenges. Conclusions: The integration of AI and AR/VR has the potential to transform teacher education, but it is crucial to address technological and ethical challenges to maximize its benefits. Encouraging innovation and further research on its long-term impact is recommended.
