Abstract

Introduction: This article explores the use of Design Thinking as an innovative pedagogical approach in the context of digital project-based learning, particularly in the field of cultural heritage. The research highlights the potential of this approach to foster creativity, collaboration and the development of innovative solutions for digital cultural mediation. Study methodology: The study used Design Thinking workshops, a pedagogical approach based on phases of divergence and convergence, involving interdisciplinary Masters students, and project evaluation based on various criteria. Results: The results of the study highlighted four projects that effectively demonstrate the innovative use of digital technologies to enhance cultural heritage. Qualitative analysis of the projects revealed a number of strengths, including innovation, originality of approach, effective integration of digital technologies and a multidisciplinary approach. The projects also highlighted the potential of Design Thinking to develop user-centred solutions, use gamification and interactivity, and transform interaction with heritage. Discussion and conclusions: The article discusses the value of design thinking in project-based learning to foster innovative solutions and improve students' digital creativity skills in the cultural heritage field.
