La gestión universitaria ayuda a la reducción de desastres: estrategias, innovación y resiliencia

Introducción: Esta investigación analiza el papel de la gestión universitaria en la reducción del riesgo de desastres, destacando su capacidad para generar conocimiento, fomentar la innovación y formar profesionales comprometidos con la gestión de riesgos, en el marco de iniciativas internacionales como el Marco de Sendai 2015-2030. Metodología: Se realizó un análisis bibliométrico utilizando datos extraídos de la base de datos Scopus, abarcando un total de 174 artículos relevantes sobre gestión del riesgo de desastres en el contexto universitario. Resultados: Los hallazgos identifican diversos clústeres temáticos que agrupan investigaciones centradas en la evaluación de riesgos, cambio climático, gestión de desastres, salud pública y comportamiento humano. Discusión: Estos resultados evidencian que la gestión universitaria puede integrar múltiples enfoques disciplinares, lo que refuerza su papel estratégico en la adaptación de las comunidades frente a amenazas naturales y sociales.
Conclusiones: Se concluye que las universidades tienen un alto potencial para contribuir de forma activa a la resiliencia y sostenibilidad, mediante la incorporación de la gestión de riesgos en sus funciones académicas, investigativas y de vinculación con la sociedad.
