Abstract

Introduction: Because of this situation, emotional well-being coordinators are being created in educational centers because of the growing concern for the mental health of adolescents. One of the elements that are being investigated as a possible cause is the high use of the Internet and cell phones; for this reason, restrictive measures are being taken in the classroom. Methodology: This research aims to analyze the socioemotional perception and use of the Internet and cell phones of a sample of 134 students from the first to third year of ESO through a relational model test. Results: It was found that the use of these digital devices and the Internet has correlations with the regulation and socioemotional management of students and significant differences by Gender. Conclusions: There is a possible cause of emotional health distress due to poor emotional management of these digital devices. This requires an increase in the number of investigations and the creation of training programs for students and teachers to help them in the proper management of Internet, mobile, and socioemotional skills.
