Abstract

Introduction: The popularization of artificial intelligence (AI) has generated uncertainty in the academic field. This study explores the use of AI in online graphic design education. Introduction: This study explores the integration of chatbots representing corporate roles in a transversal project of an online digital design degree, aiming to complement teaching tasks, create a sense of community, and bring students closer to a simulated business context. Methodology: An action-research approach was employed with a theoretical-practical methodological design, supported by interviews with teachers and students, and the analysis of student-chatbot interactions. Surveys were also conducted with volunteer students. Results: The chatbots provided specialized and fluid feedback, realistically simulating a work context. Discussion: The integration of AI in the academic environment enhances the learning experience and student autonomy. Most of the consulted studies support the inclusion of these technologies, highlighting their ability to simulate professional interactions and improve practical and social skills. Conclusions: Assistive chatbots are useful in online graphic design education, better preparing students for the real-world job market.
