Explorando la conexión entre la intención emprendedora y el sector fintech en estudiantes universitarios

Resumen

Introducción: Este estudio analiza la relación entre la intención emprendedora de estudiantes universitarios y su interés en el sector FinTech, utilizando como base la Teoría del Comportamiento Planificado. Metodología: Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo y exploratorio. Se aplicó una encuesta basada en literatura previa a 524 estudiantes del Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, seleccionados mediante la base de datos ORSEE. La recolección de datos se realizó en agosto de 2024, y el análisis se llevó a cabo utilizando la metodología de mínimos cuadrados parciales (PLS), adecuada para evaluar múltiples variables y sus relaciones. Resultados: Los estudiantes con actitudes positivas hacia el emprendimiento en FinTech mostraron una mayor intención de emprender. Además, el entorno social favorable influye significativamente en la motivación emprendedora. La autoeficacia también se identificó como un factor clave: quienes confían en sus habilidades tienen mayor probabilidad de transformar sus intenciones en acciones concretas. Discusión: Estos hallazgos subrayan la importancia de considerar tanto factores personales como contextuales en el fomento del emprendimiento universitario. Conclusiones: Promover actitudes favorables hacia el emprendimiento FinTech y generar un entorno de apoyo son elementos esenciales para fortalecer las aspiraciones emprendedoras de los estudiantes universitarios.
