Un Marco de Trabajo para Evaluar y Reportar la Sostenibilidad en Instituciones de Educación Superior

Introducción: Este estudio aborda el interés creciente de las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) en medir y reportar su desempeño en sostenibilidad. Actualmente, las metodologías utilizadas presentan limitaciones en la visualización y sistematización de los datos, lo que dificulta un seguimiento de los indicadores. Metodología: El proyecto se desarrolló en cuatro fases: una revisión de literatura para identificar los principales indicadores sostenibiles, la definición de 16 factores, el diseño tecnológico mediante Power BI, y finalmente, la validación de este a través de una encuesta. Resultados: Los resultados indicaron que el marco de trabajo facilita el seguimiento de los indicadores de sostenibilidad. Los usuarios del sistema, mediante una encuesta de satisfacción, evaluaron positivamente la plataforma. Discusión: En particular, se observó que los factores ambientales recibieron mayor atención en el proceso de monitoreo, mientras que los factores sociales y económicos, aunque presentes, requieren una mayor integración en estudios futuros. Conclusiones: el marco de trabajo propuesto constituye una herramienta eficaz para la evaluación de la sostenibilidad en IES, aunque es necesario continuar su desarrollo para lograr una cobertura más equilibrada de todas las dimensiones de la sostenibilidad y garantizar un enfoque holístico en la gestión de estos indicadores.
