Introduction: Mirror neurons, are a new field of medical research, these facilitate imitation, empathy, understanding and communication between human beings, being fundamental in learning during their childhood. The main objective is to identify the relationship between mirror neurons and social learning in 4th grade students of the educational institution N° 18002 “M.A”.Methodology: It responds to a field study with a sample of 30 students of basic education applying a closed survey of 20 items, recognizing the function of mirror neurons according to their environment and learning, the data were processed with Lickert scale, contrasting the results obtained with previous research. Results: Proving that the social environment is a factor that provides great stimulation for learning by imitation, confirming that children are influenced by the people around them. Discussions: A deep understanding of the functioning of mirror neurons and their relationship with vicarious learning could contribute to the development of new teaching strategies, therapies for the treatment of learning disorders or social interaction.. Conclusions: In relation to mirror neurons and learning, as closer factors, recognizing their home as the main influence of meaningful learning than outside the home.
