Innovative scale of values according to common benefit and Dasbien theory

Introduction: In contemporary society, issues such as socioeconomic inequality, lack of solidarity, the erosion of family values, consumerism, and institutional corruption undermine the common good and social development. In response to these challenges, a value scale is proposed that is practical, functional, and meaningful for the majority. Methodology: This is a basic, descriptive, and exploratory study focused on the review of academic and philosophical research and proposals related to values, principles, ethics, and the common good, with special emphasis on those that pursue the well-being of others from their own perspective, in line with the Dasbien Theory. Results: Key values identified include social justice, solidarity, environmental sustainability, and citizen participation, which help counteract the negative effects of a model centered on consumerism and corruption. Discussion: The application of these values promotes ethical and responsible decision-making, strengthens cooperation and social trust, and contributes to a more equitable and sustainable coexistence. Conclusions: A value scale based on shared ethical principles can guide both individual and collective action toward the common good, fostering integral human development in contexts marked by institutional crises and the loss of ethical references.
