Abstract

Introduction: Women's leadership is seen everywhere today, thanks to the fight for gender equality and the efforts of those who already hold key positions in politics, economics, and everyday life. This document reviews the most common styles displayed by women leaders globally. Methodology: A systematic literature review was conducted, analyzing 71 references on leadership styles with an emphasis on women. Through an orderly reading of the available literature, the question is whether there is a best way of leading and which ones women most often use. Results: There is no single winning approach, although there is a tendency toward transformational, connective, and authentic models. Differences were also found in the ways of speaking and telling stories that each of the women studied uses in their daily lives. Discussion: Female leadership is varied, adaptable, and increasingly decisive, even though cultural and structural obstacles remain. Conclusions: To build a more just and hopeful future, it is key to open the same doors to all and support female leadership.
