Abstract

Introduction: Understandings about a community social bet in a psychology curriculum overflow the interest of a particular discipline. They become a subject of interest because of their purpose of influencing psychosocial and community problems and needs of today's world, for the multidimensional wellbeing of subjects, groups and collectives. The reflections presented are the result of a research conducted between 2021 and 2023, in a psychology program that focused its interest in identifying the pillars of the social-community imprint promulgated by the University of origin and its implementation in the curriculum. Methodology: Based on the social-critical paradigm, qualitative and with an action-research methodology, under documentary review techniques, focus group and Atlas IT tools and meta-plan. Results: The findings of this research allowed the identification of 3 methodological-epistemological pillars that support the community social perspective, adaptable to training levels that seek to promote community actions to overcome various psychosocial problems. Discussion: some critical aspects to consider are suggested, so that the actions generated really aim at social transformation. Conclusions: It is necessary to strengthen the solidarity and community formation of the university program studied.
