Editorial practices for gender equity
EPSIR is committed to the active promotion of gender equality and inclusion in scholarly communication, in line with the ethical principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and international recommendations on equity in scholarly publishing.
To this end, the journal encourages the use of non-sexist and inclusive language in all texts submitted. Although the use of non-sexist language is not a mandatory requirement for the acceptance of manuscripts, authors must abide by editorial recommendations that seek to ensure inclusive language, respectful of diversity and in accordance with the principles of equality. These suggestions may arise at any stage of the editorial process.
The journal also encourages the incorporation of sex and gender analysis in research designs, methodologies and presentation of results, whenever relevant. This approach contributes to the quality, scientific rigor and social relevance of the published works.
In addition, the composition of the editorial team and the peer review system seek to ensure institutional, geographic and gender diversity, favoring an inclusive and plural editorial culture.
Commitment to gender equality and diversity
EPSIR subscribes to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), recognizing that editorial quality is strengthened by the plural representation of voices at all levels of the editorial process. Therefore, this journal is committed to ensuring equal opportunities in the selection of authors, reviewers and members of the editorial team, promoting gender equity, institutional and geographic diversity, and the elimination of any form of discrimination.
