Antiplagiarism Policy
EPSIR ensures the originality of all submitted manuscripts through the use of the plagiarism detection software iThenticate, provided by HISIN. All forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, must be strictly avoided in the writing of manuscripts.
This policy guarantees the originality of published work by identifying similarities between submitted texts and previously published sources. If evidence of plagiarism is found in the manuscript, it will be automatically rejected.
The analysis method is primarily quantitative, but with a strong qualitative emphasis. This is because similarity percentages may include properly cited content that does not constitute plagiarism. The similarity percentage ranges considered by our journal are as follows:
-
1–15%: Minor matches.
-
15–25%: A qualitative review is conducted and, if necessary, the manuscript is returned to the author for revisions.
-
25–30%: The report is forwarded to the Scientific Committee for internal analysis.
-
31% or more: The manuscript is rejected.
If a plagiarism claim is received after the publication of an article in EPSIR, and it is verified by the Editorial Board, the article will be formally retracted in accordance with the Retraction Guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
