Multimedia and Interactive Activities for Artistic Appreciation in University Students

Introduction: Currently, multimedia and interactive resources are key elements for undergraduate general studies, such as Artistic Appreciation, to promote a comprehensive education that develops critical thinking and aesthetic sensitivity. Methodology: A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was utilized. Ninety-seven students were selected through non-random sampling and distributed into two groups. The study had three phases: the design of interactive multimedia activities using EducaPlay, Genially, Padlet, and Moodle; implementation of these tools in the experimental group while the control group followed conventional methods. Surveys and interviews were used to assess student satisfaction across five dimensions: interface design, educational content, interactivity, evaluation, and technical aspects. Results: The multimedia activities showed a positive and significant impact on the academic improvement in artistic appreciation of the experimental group compared to the control group, with high levels of student satisfaction. Discussions: The importance of integrating interactive technologies in art education is emphasized. Conclusions: The design and use of interactive multimedia activities had a significant positive effect on artistic appreciation and high student satisfaction, highlighting the effectiveness of these resources in higher education.
