Introduction: This study presents the follow-up to the design of a strategic planning carried out for a maintenance services company in southern Sonora. The objective was to carry out a diagnosis of the administrative process and an internal analysis of the company's departments, identifying strengths and weaknesses through SWOT. Methodology: A qualitative and descriptive approach was used, applying the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) model by Kaplan and Norton (1997). This model allows directing the implementation of a strategic plan in its four perspectives (financial, customers, internal processes, learning and growth), maintaining cause-effect relationships between objectives and using indicators to evaluate their fulfillment. Results: As a result, a strategic initiative was proposed that will allow the company to plan strategies for growth, change or adaptation, and to make key decisions on investment and financing, according to the scenario presented. Discussion and Conclusions: The research highlights the importance of the BSC as a key tool to drive strategic implementation and to evaluate the effectiveness of the company's actions. It is concluded that the proposed strategic initiative is the most suitable to address the identified challenges and opportunities.
