Abstract

Introduction: This document is a bibliometric analysis of existing research on the link between public policies in the agricultural sector and their connection with the scaling up of actors in the global value chain, within the framework of the various transformations in agricultural dynamics. Methodology: Bibliometric analysis is used, covering the period from 2002 to 2025, based on existing literature on the Web of Science (WoS) platform. A performance analysis and a cartographic analysis are carried out in VOSviewer software with 165 documents. Results: The links are scattered and fragmented, focusing mainly on very specific case studies, with the United States, Germany, and England being the main countries involved in scientific production. Discussions: Focuses on the various positions on how agricultural policy can favor the insertion of actors in global value chains. Conclusions: there is little regional and institutional concentration, and a special need to prioritize the linking of terms in the case studies in order to increase the possibilities for agricultural producers to participate in GVCs.
