Abstract

Introduction: This research aims to analyze the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in research as well as the use of research tools. Methodology: The methodology is proposed with a quantitative approach, applying a survey to a group of research professors. Results: The results reflect the depth to which artificial intelligence and the use of digital tools are used to support research. Discussions: Investment by institutions in training professors dedicated to research has been one of the gaps generated since the arrival of AI. Conclusions: It is highlighted that although artificial intelligence is a tool capable of facilitating scientific writing, its use has generated controversy within the scientific community.
