Inteligencia Artificial en Illustrator. Percepción y exploración en estudiantes de diseño gráfico

Abstract

Introduction: This study aimed to detect the perception of generative artificial intelligence students in the educational environment while working with common programs within graphic design teaching and implementing them in the “Maquetación” in the studies of Digital Graphic Design. Methodology: To analyze the possibility of integration in future courses, a non-experimental design methodology was employed, using simple and exploratory descriptive statistics. Results: The insertion of generative artificial intelligence in their learning received a positive evaluation, and students perceive its practice as beneficial for future professional use. Discussions: The use of generative artificial intelligence integrated into familiar programs like Illustrator facilitates implementation in design subjects and supports guided learning of these technologies, which are already being used in the productive design sector. Conclusions: A significant percentage of students have not yet implemented these new technological tools during the ideation phase of their activities, suggesting a natural tendency to rely on familiar techniques and tools. Professors should naturally integrate generative artificial intelligence to equip students with the technological competencies necessary for their future careers.
