Training consulting as an educational and organizational management tool for solving problems in tourism

Introduction: Business consultancy offers specialised management services to solve organisational problems. This study seeks to combine traditional consultancy with tourism training through two case studies in hostels in Remedios and a hotel in Cayo Las Brujas, Cuba, with the aim of strengthening the training and development of human resources. Methodology: A qualitative, multidisciplinary and deductive methodology was used, with a diagnostic-propositive approach. Methods such as participant observation, activity analysis, case studies, text analysis and discussion groups were used. The Mapify application was used for visual representation. Results: The results demonstrated the formative and transformative efficiency of consultancy in the selected tourism enterprises. Its value as a tool for change management in a tourism sector facing new challenges was highlighted. Discussion: The study revealed how the combination of consultancy and training contributes to improving training and development processes in tourism enterprises, helping tourism professionals to adapt to change. Conclusions: Training consultancy is presented as an effective strategy for business improvement and organisational learning in tourism, which reinforces its importance in an environment of constant challenges.
