Abstract

Introduction: Entrepreneurship education has had an extraordinary boom in recent decades. To achieve the economic, social and competitive development of a country, universities need to promote a culture of entrepreneurship in their students, as potential entrepreneurs and agents of change in society. Methodology: This research studies the impact of entrepreneurial education on the acquisition of soft skills and the entrepreneurial attitude of 180 university students from different areas, such as Social Sciences, Health Sciences and Technical Sciences, comparing two generations: Generation Z and Millennials. To achieve this, a methodology based on the development of business plans has been applied. Results: The results obtained indicate that Generation Z students show a greater entrepreneurial attitude and intention, perceive greater family support for entrepreneurship, and acquire a higher level of competencies related to innovation, creativity, autonomy, and risk taking. Discussion: Entrepreneurship training enhances the soft skills and entrepreneurial spirit of students, especially Generation Z. Conclusions: Higher education must opt for more specific and practical programs and actions, in line with the new profile of students and promote more intrapersonal learning that develops their commitment to society.
