Análisis bibliométrico sobre responsabilidad ambiental en las instituciones de educación superior

Introducción: Las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) son actores clave en la promoción de la sostenibilidad ambiental a través de la docencia, la investigación y la gestión institucional. Metodología: Este estudio presenta un análisis bibliométrico sobre la responsabilidad ambiental (RA) en las IES, basado en publicaciones indexadas en Scopus entre 1998 y 2024. Se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo, con alcance descriptivo y exploratorio. La búsqueda avanzada incluyó términos relacionados con “RA” y “sostenibilidad ambiental”, analizando un total de 377 publicaciones mediante las herramientas Biblioshiny y funciones integradas de Scopus. Resultados: Los resultados evidencian un crecimiento anual del 17,47% en la producción científica, con un notable incremento a partir de 2019. Temas como desarrollo sostenible, sostenibilidad ambiental y cambio climático dominan la agenda investigativa. No obstante, la baja frecuencia del término “responsabilidad ambiental” indica que se aborda de forma implícita dentro del enfoque general de sostenibilidad. Conclusión: Se concluye que herramientas abiertas como Bibliometrix fortalecen la transparencia y replicabilidad del análisis. El estudio proporciona una visión actual del desarrollo académico sobre RA en IES, subrayando la necesidad de consolidar su impacto en la sostenibilidad global.
