Análisis de los factores que inciden en la probabilidad de emprender en Ecuador

Introducción: El presente estudio analiza los factores determinantes de la probabilidad de emprender en Ecuador, utilizando datos del Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) 2023-2024. Metodología: A través de una metodología de regresión binaria, tanto logit como probit, se examinan variables como género, edad, oportunidades de negocio, habilidades, experiencia, conocimiento, miedo al fracaso, percepción de facilidad para iniciar un negocio, nivel de ingresos y nivel educativo. Resultados: Los resultados revelan que las oportunidades de negocio, las habilidades y la percepción de facilidad para iniciar un negocio son factores significativamente influyentes en la probabilidad de emprender, mientras que el género, la edad y el nivel educativo no muestran una influencia significativa. Discusión: Además, se discuten las implicaciones prácticas y las limitaciones del estudio, y se proponen futuras líneas de investigación. Conclusiones: Los hallazgos subrayan la importancia de fortalecer la educación emprendedora y políticas públicas que fomenten un entorno favorable para el emprendimiento.
