Introduction: The field of Information Technology known as Artificial Intelligence (AI) has assumed a significant role, as it allows students to be assisted by computer entities capable of making decisions based on the information they have been provided. Methodology: This study employed a mixed and descriptive approach, non-experimental and cross-sectional, conducted at a School of Information Technology (IT) within a public university in the state of Tabasco, Mexico. The sample universe consisted of 151 participants, including undergraduate and graduate students, surveyed through six items. The aim was to understand how students perceive the intervention of AI in learning. Results: Several considerations indicated a high-interest level in using AI tools to support learning. There was also interest expressed in issues such as privacy, plagiarism, and errors in content, among others. Discussion: The study represents a localized exploration with specific findings that could be expanded upon through further research. Conclusions: There is a path ahead for AI developers and companies offering these tools to address students' concerns effectively.Downloads
