Abstract

Introdução: A inovação aberta é essencial para a competitividade das empresas (Chesbrough, 2003). Diante das limitações de seus recursos internos, as empresas adotam abordagens colaborativas para estimular a inovação. No entanto, a maioria das pesquisas se concentra em grandes empresas, deixando uma lacuna na compreensão da inovação aberta nas PME marroquinas. Este artigo examina os principais fatores que influenciam a adoção da inovação aberta e seu impacto no desempenho das PME.

Metodologia: Foi realizada uma pesquisa com 99 PME marroquinas por meio de questionários autoaplicáveis via Google Forms. Os dados coletados foram analisados utilizando modelagem por equações estruturais, especialmente o método LISREL.

Resultados: Os resultados indicam que a adoção da inovação aberta é influenciada por diversos fatores, incluindo o conhecimento do conceito, o tamanho e a antiguidade da empresa, a estrutura de propriedade, a estratégia e a internacionalização.

Discussão: Observou-se uma correlação positiva entre a adoção da inovação aberta e a melhoria do desempenho das PME. Estas percebem a inovação aberta como uma ferramenta para fortalecer seus processos de inovação e sua reputação, apesar das limitações de recursos.

Conclusão: A inovação aberta representa uma oportunidade chave para as PME marroquinas. Sua implementação permite superar algumas restrições e melhorar sua competitividade.

He is a university professor at the National School of Business and Management (ENCG) in Tangier. He is a co-founder of the Forum of Moroccan Economists, a platform dedicated to economic issues in Morocco.
