Introduction: The historic area of Castelo Branco was the setting for an educational project involving students from the Communication and Audiovisual Design undergraduate program at the School of Applied Arts of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (ESART). The students were encouraged to explore and document the city's history and culture through observational and expository documentaries, as well as the design of exhibition panels. The main objective of the project was to promote artistic and cultural exploration among young people, contributing to the preservation and dissemination of Castelo Branco's cultural heritage. Methodology: The structured methodology included several sequential stages. This teaching-learning process provided students with an immersive experience, allowing them to develop technical and artistic skills, deepen their historical and cultural knowledge, and express their creative visions. Results: The project's results will be presented in a collective exhibition, aiming to value local heritage and inspire the community to reflect on the importance of preserving cultural memory and identity. Conclusions: The project has proven effective in strengthening the bonds between new generations and their history, using audiovisual tools to raise awareness about the conservation of cultural heritage.
