Abstract

Introduction: Workplace harassment represents a significant challenge in educational settings, where inadequate management can affect teachers' rights. This issue is linked to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, as it promotes the reduction of violence and the protection of human rights. Methodology: The research is basic in nature, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design. Two questionnaires were administered to a population of 92 teachers at a public school in Pueblo Libre in 2025. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman's correlation test. Results: The results confirm the existence of a significant relationship between knowledge of legal regulations and the incidence of workplace harassment. Greater legal knowledge is associated with less harassment, acting as a protective factor. Discussion: These findings highlight the importance of legal training in the teaching context, not only to prevent workplace harassment, but also to strengthen institutional culture and respect for rights. Conclusions: Knowledge of legal regulations is a key tool for reducing workplace harassment, improving emotional well-being and enhancing the professional performance of teaching staff.
