Abstract

Introduction: In a globalized world with high demand for fresh food, supply chains are essential to the agricultural economy, especially in the fruit sector, which accounts for 22% of global agricultural production. The perishable nature of fruits requires efficient logistics and optimal storage conditions. Methodology: A mapping literature review was used with a systematic methodology that included planning, evidence search, study selection, data coding and visualization of findings. Tools such as Zotero and bibliometric techniques were used for analysis. Results: The results highlight the importance of sustainability, food waste reduction and resilience in fruit supply chains. The research reflects a growing interest in efficient and sustainable management in response to global challenges such as climate change and food security. Discussion: Optimization of fruit supply chains focuses on improving logistics and reducing waste, in line with global trends calling for more sustainable practices in agriculture. Conclusions: Sustainability and efficient management are key to meeting the challenges of climate change and ensuring resilience and food security in the fruit sector.
